Getting Started with Big LotsĀ

With Salsify’s Big Lots direct connection, you can send item attribute content for products initialized by the Big Lots team. Rather than delivering content spreadsheets to Big Lots by hand, you can map your Salsify product content and deliver it through a readiness report.

Product Types Accepted

Products that a Big Lots coordinator has contacted you to supply an attribute form for are eligible for this process.

Mapping the Channel

Prioritize Mappings

Break down the mappings by priority. Use readiness report filters to view just the attributes you want to work with, and refresh the report as you go. Focus first on category, publish operation and other required mappings, then move on to those optional attributes that matter most for your products.

  • Required attributes- Next, focus on required attributes. To view required attributes that are missing data or sources, use filters at the top of the readiness report and uncheck optional attributes. Key product type-specific attributes - Be sure you map the attributes important to your specific products.

  • Use the help text to inform the mapping decisions you make. It contains requirements and specifications for the attribute you’re working on. Click the ? to the left of the attribute to view help text. It’s also available at the top of the formula box - click View Help text at the top of the formula box. Note that in some cases where the data type is string, the attribute still has specific values that you need to send. Review the help text to check for allowed values as you map.
